History

History

It all started in 1994, when there was established a Department of Business Law at the International Center for Economic Reform and Development of Georgia.

At the end of 1995, the Department was separated from the Center and on February 8, 1996 it was registered under the name of the “Center of Business Law of Georgia”. Georgian public and the international community came to know about it widely with this name.

The area of activity of the organization was significantly broadened and in 2002, to optimize the management structure, its governing board developed a one-year reorganization plan. As a result, from June 25, 2003, the Center of Business Law was formed as the Civil Society Institute (CSI) Foundation.
