Citizen Service Center Opened up in the Batumi City Hall

28.01.2010

The Citizen Service Center was opened up on 27 January 2010 in the Batumi City Hall. Its operation will simplify the procedures for receiving services (documents) from the City Hall and enhance the effectiveness and transparency of the City Hall activities.

The Service Center operates based on the so-called “one window” principle, which gives any interested person an opportunity to file application with the Service Center and obtain response to the filed application right there. City Hall employees are present in the Center on a constant basis, providing the population with consultations on any issues within the competence of the City Hall.

The Citizen Service Center became functional through the partnership of the Batumi City Hall and the Civil Society Institute and with the financial support of the Eurasia Partnership Foundation.

The Director of the Civil Society Institute Vazha Salamadze and the Mayor of Batumi Robert Chkhaidze have opened up the Service Center. Representatives of the Batumi City Hall and donor and local non-governmental organizations have attended the opening event.
